Also, rumour has it that they have cancelled this game so that they may continue further onto their production of Final Fantasy Fabula Nova Crystallis. But I would assume that they wouldn't scrap it for good if the rumors were confirmed to be true.

Incase you have no idea what I am talking about, here is a quick snip-it from IGN:

"Part of Square Enix's 20th Anniversary series, Final Fantasy: Dissidia is described as a "Dramatic Progressive Action" game. As one of various Final Fantasy characters, players square off against different opponents, gaining levels and strength as they go. They can also challange their friends, and customize their character through the use of different equipment."

So far, this game is confirmed to being released on the PSP.

I've also heard that they had this project ongoing since 2006, and they were planning on introducing characters all the way from FF-XIII. That would be pretty interesting to see but I think that would be a little too much at the same time, plus it would be a while for it to be released. I also wish that they would create like maybe a Female character or two (other than Ultimecia), maybe a Yuna, since Yuna was the main character in X-2. But if they were to put XII, I wonder who the main character they would put it, I know Vaan was the character we controlled but I felt like Ashe was more of a rounded character than he was - since the story seemed to revolve around her.

The game has been announced in May last year. Its cool to see Final Fantasy characters from different FF in one game, just like the Kingdom Hearts series, only more characters. :P

I'm looking forward to this game, but I dunno if I'll get it (don't have a PSP).

Awwwwww, yeah I have actually had that same problem before. I am missing like a few FF games because of it, but I was lucky to get a PSP for Christmas hehe. But still don't have all those other systems like the Nintendo DS, Nintendo WII and PS3, and gawsh - it'll be frustrating if they start releasing games on the mobile phone (my phone is out-of-date and I am on a contract)
So, I feel your pain :[ maybe they might decide to release it again on something else? Who knows... They have FF games coming out everywhere now :P So don't give your hopes up! :)
