Favorite Final Fantasy

I was searching for this thread and found out it was kinda old and had no poll option.

So here's it's again with a poll. Please share your favorite Final Fantasy with us. :)

My favorite Final Fantasy is Final Fantasy VII, because of the great story, the characters and the materia system is one of the best systems used in a Final Fantasy game.

When i see topics about their most fav final fantasy being final fantasy 7 or 8, me on the other hand always liked to play the oldskool onces.
When i was just a child i had a Snes that i still own somewhere in my house, i started to play different games.
But then i tried Final fantasy 2, that game was amazing.
The story was as interresting as reading one of your fav books and when you had to run arround in towns and buy and sell like every other rpg.
I stil miss games not being in 2d because i think that what's rpg was and still is about.

But all in all final fantasy 2 is one of my fav ff games and then ff7,8 and 3 follow.

Final Fantasy II is actually Final Fantasy IV. ;) They just renamed it to Final Fantasy II, because it was the second Final Fantasy that was released in the US.

Let me change that in the poll. :)

Mine would have to be VIII. It was my first FF, and as you all probably would remember with your first FF, there's always a special feeling when you play your first FF xD The junction system is not too difficult to understand either.

I liked FFVII, but it wouldn't be my favourite of them. I preferred FFX, and IX was about as good as VII for me personally.


VIII definitely takes the spot for me though. Love that game so much <3

8 will always be the best to me, the whole story and atmosphere drew me in then and still does now. One of my favourite games ever. =]

final fantasy 7 because of the storyline and the materia system. also as many people have said not many RPGs have made the characters so meaningful than Square did with the characters in final fantasy 7.

hmmm.....first FF i played was FFVII but I really liked X as well.....hmmm......but I guess maybe VII is my best choice...it is the one im most familiar with and the whole battle system and magic system I really liked

Personally, I prefer VIII over the rest of them, in many regards. It had a unique way in revealing the true evil and was presented in a way that was fairly believable, not to mention enjoyable. I also liked that a number of the characters were in their teens, which is usually a bit better for the emotional side of things- though the main person to change in this regard was Squall. . .

Aside from that, the criticals were actually able to be manually executed- at least by Squall and Seifer, and the methods that you used to acquire you magic was fairly unique and, in my opinion, quite a bit better than many of the other ways. The junction system, too, was enjoyable and allowed for some nice ways of powering up characters to be fairly powerful.

Well, I need to cut myself short before I keep talking << but VIII is my favorite.

I love Seven and everything about it. I have beat it more than three times and working on my fourth. I can't get tired of it. And has the best Characters and Villian. I have played and beat the spin offs, except for before crisis, which I want to play. :D

I agree about that special feeling! Thats why I really enjoyed FF IX, not only was it my first Final Fantasy game but it was also my first RPG. So really I can't decide which is my favourite, I like the different FFs for different reasons. I especially enjoyed FF VII for Sephiroth, wooow like beating this guy really put the cherry on top of my cake. I also liked the materia system in FF VII but also the sphere grid in FF X. I absolutely was drawed to the storyline of FF X, and loved the summons - blitzball was exciting and the voice actors and character development were phenomenal. FF VIII I also connected to the story and characters as well, I'm usually not a romance-suck but I was in this one for sure :p FF VIII really pulled my emotions. And like when I beat the end game boss, you have no idea how relieved I was.. You have to agree though, it was a HARD BOSS!!
The other FFs don't strike me as a favourite or I haven't had a chance to actually play yet (or too much of it). But I know I especially liked FF IV with Cecil as the main character and the other characters, I think I actually cried in this game a bit too :p which is weird because in 2D games don't hit me as much as the other FFs that aren't 3D (sorry if I am mixed with my roman numerals, I just get confused since how some of the earlier ones we didn't have it before like FF II and FF III and we do now XD).

So to summarize my gibberish.. I basically can't choose between FF IV, FF VII, FF VIII, FF IX and FF X. :p

well my favorite FF is FF-X cuz of the voices and the whole story line... normally i just quit in the middle of an FF (cuz i'm getting sick of it) but at FF-X i just keep goin on :P

Just like Tsuji, I got a special feeling when playing FF VIII, also since that was my first FF.
And I just love the characters :)
FFX would be placed 2nd
And FF IX would be on 3rd ^^
