Been a spate of people in my LS getting their characters hacked D:

Not had many happen to any in our LS, just 1 or 2... 1 was really new though, so didn't hit us hard, but the other was one of our Novio BLMs, although this happened last November. A sackholder of a rival LS got hacked a month or so ago; and had her Herald's Gaiters, HQ Stave set, Aqua and Snow rings, and gil stolen. D:

Yeah, we had our LS leader (who'd only just started playing again after a couple of months off with my friend using his account) I think that's been recovered in a roll back now, but that was adaberk, cerb mantle+1, Kraken, striders etc but then a day or two after Chiz was hacked another of our doesn't-currently-play-but-used-by-sackholders characters was hacked and completely cleaned out. Worst thing is we watched them do it and the GM's wouldn't do anything. We tailed her through WG watched her use all her IS on coins and shout to sell them and raid the mules too. Managed to stall the hacker for a good 30min or so but no dice with the GM's at all.

Then today just an hour or two ago another of our members was d/c'd and turns out they were hacked then, couldn't log back into the account, password got changed super quick That makes it three people from our relatively small HNM LS in a week which is mildly disconcerting. This guy just now was even on LS until we started talking about it then he took of Squeak's pearl.

Urgh, time to change all my passwords and update all my virus scan and firewall. Somepage is reinfected too with malicious iframes ;/ really gotta be careful about what you inadvertently click on with any MMORPG game now.

Yup. I'm currently using Symantec Corp Anti-virus, which is apparently one of the best live-virus protection programs you can get (Has nothing to do with Norton). Takes up quite a bit of processor power but It's worth it, friend managed to snag me the source for it. Using Firefox with Ad-block, NoScript and a few other addons. (Make sure you go in to NoScript options and disable <iFrames> also.)

Only took me 5 years! Way too much gear for RDM... That's only one of many many sets I have for it :\

Yeah, this notice absolutely sucks! My poor PLD friend who just got his PLD Relic body piece has been hacked, moved to the Remora server from Midgardsormr, and has had all his seals, gil and gear cleared out. He's on the recovery process, but if the relic was tossed, he got it so recently that SE might not be able to recover it! How sucky is that?! ; ;

If I was him I'd make a point of explaining the situation to a GM (not that they're any use anyway, but you never know, you might get 1/100 chance of getting a nice helpful one) I got my PLD Valor body last month and I'd be irked pretty crazy too since it's the only one we've had drop in a while.

The whole investigation and rollback is like a weeks wait too, god I'd hate to have to wait to see what my inventory was like Dx

What is his name? I might actually have known him. I'm on Midgardsormr also.

Stupid hackers, I hope that guy can get at least some of his stuff back. :|
