Monday Update

It's time for our tri-annual update!

6pm to 9pm for us British folk, and god is there gonna be a queue for however it is you go about getting Ixion (new summon!)

They're also making it so all new NM's are force pop which is interesting, and you get the pop requirements for them by getting points somehow (number of points attainable is capped per in game day) so that's... interesting. Loads of new equipment so I hope thats all good too!

Also making adjustments to Einherjar so you don't need all 9 feathers to get in (FK YES D: ) and making dynamis cheaper! I hope they smuggle in some "adjusting drop rates" in dynamis and salvage too though ^^;

More merits so merit camps will be packed like hell for the next week or so Dx maybe time to exp a lower level job for a bit.

Yeah, I honestly hope it's an avatar. Possibly a lightning based healer? Iono. Maybe something to make SMNs be a more wanted DD, or actually make their healing interesting rather than Cure III spam? But you never know with SE! They could throw a massive curveball and make it a big NM involved in WotG, similar to what they did with Odin. I'm betting on avatar myself though :D

Update seems quite meh.

Ixion is just a NM T_T He idles and wanders around the zones in the past but if you engage flees away and has no HP bar.
New equipment is quite pwn.
Nyzul Relics are meh
- Defeat Odin (done)
- Defeat all 3 ToAU beastmen kings (almost done)
- Defeat all 4 chariots in Salvage (done)
- Defeat all the assaults. AGAIN. (NOOOOOO I ONLY JUST GOT MY FIRST LIEUTENANT RANK T_T)
- Max our your own Nyzul isle disk (BLEH)
- Get 50,000 Alexandarites (new drops from Ramparts/gears in salvage, a typical run currantly drops 1)
- Get a megatonne of Ampoules from Odin


Havent had a chance to look at the new job abilities, couldn't get my update going last night so I gave up, doing it now with 3hrs on the timer. Seems like MNK got broken with a 43TP return on Azuran fists with their new ja lol. Not sure about others, having to browse BG for info.

I have one gripe with this update. (Mild language)

Apparently they drop ash that you need to throw at him so he aggroes you.

Yeah.. I'm quite dissapointed. Though, some of the new PUP gear is amazing. I want that extra attack attachment! Also, had same problem Aeyze, couldn't update last night. Left it on when I went out today, got back, update is done! Whee~! :D

The new swimsuits are so dorky, but they rock :P

Okay.
So currently the AC is down on Fairy cause we got pwnt by a lvl 7 beseieged right after the update (Also, we had Fafnir DESPAWN after the update, roffles, though not quite as good as the last maintenance they did and we claimed with 5 people and no DD's and ended up cfh as it raged ;o).

So anyway.
Gathering points for the force pop NM's is in the form of taking photos of specific mobs with soulplates. The mobs are the same for everyone and change when a certain number of photos have been handed in. So for example, the first set is Khimaira (the HNM in Caedarva Mire) and other regular mobs etc. It seems like it's easy enough to farm enough points for a tier 1 mob at least in an hour or two.

We did Ob earlier today, the tier 1 Forcepop NM in Alzadael that drops the PUP earring and attachments, if he's anything to go on the Tier 1's aren't so bad, we had some issues with Magic Mortar taking out our tank in one shot but with a BLM it's easy enough to kite, so I'm thinking that potentially the tier 1 mobs are lowmanable? They drop 1 100% rare/ex item that you trade to access the next tier of force pop NM's and then other drops.

I have to say, they're quite fun fights. Our first attempt at Ob was pretty crazy since we weren't prepared for Magic Mortar and it was like a tiny puppet of rape and took out our well equipped 8 member group >___>;; embarissing. I dunno if they despawn or not. The repop on the ??? to pop them is about 5 minutes!

I can't wait to have a go at Ixion, a group on Odin were fighting it until maintenance but since it doesn't seem to have an HP bar it's impossible to see progress...

lol yeah. That automaton is erm... Quite crazy. SE nerfed PUP Magic Mortar, but let this automaton keep his. lol xD Nice work though! Feed back on the Tier IIs when you get to 'em! :D This update is full of win! xD

I just need to get my ****ing characters up to a decent level x_x I just got Ramuh on my mithra, so I'm gonna be levling smn a bit for awhile, then I'm coming back to fenrir to level nin (need to find where all the scroll quests are first, tho).

Graeme when you still played Haub was like 5 mil, nowadays it's gone down a LOT!
It's sitting at 220-250K at the moment, and SH is even lower, and even then you can get a Jaridah Peti instead.
