Parasite Eve series

Okay well I know these games were originally created by Squaresoft but I think it still counts to post it here :p

Anyway, I never actually played the first and second Parasite Eve games but I hear they are really good; people tell me its like a shooter RPG (I am guessing it would be something like Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus).

But I haven't been able to find the games to be able to play them but I was interested in playing the sequel they are releasing on the PSP. Do you think I would still be able to play it and understand what is going on if I only played the sequel? I have read bits of the story on Wikipedia already so I do have the gist of it.

I can tell you now that they're nothing like Dirge of Cerberus. I can also tell you that you should make every effort to get hold of them, because they are AWESOME.

What I meant about Dirge of Cerberus being like Parasite Eve was the style of Battle Tactics (i.e. third person shooter). From my point of view anyway.

I was watching a playthrough on youtube for both the first and second game and oh woooow, it sure looks quite a game. The first game's playthrough wasn't done as well as the second (but the second took quite a bit of time), so I couldn't catch on to the story so I had to reread it. But the first game had some disturbing scenes (like the "melting people audience one") XD! The second game looked really well done and I was shocked to see it was still only a playstation game! But the second game's controls look a tad bit difficult than the first (I am not really experienced for 3rd person shooters :p or FPS as well lol).

Oh and I found the movie of it as well! I have watched about half way and the storyline seems quite interesting haha.

Wow it sure is psychological.. It totally reminds me of Koudelka on the Playstation (although I never played the game).

Oh the movie was excellent! But it is nothing like the game - as in there are no monsters like there are in Parasite Eve. I have found the game somewhere and now I am playing the first one. It does take some use to for controls though haha.

If you are interested in watching the movie, you can easily find it on Youtube and watch it in parts. But Part 8 is missing from it. But you can watch the entire thing if you search for it, and find a watch-movies.ro not the .net one (it'll send you to another link on to Megaupload). Definitely good movie though. Its a little old though :p
