Spiffy title, eh? Inspired by the thread created by Tormented about the .hack anime. Here's a thread for and only the discussion of the game series and news about where the series will be heading.

.hack// Quarantine (Part Four)

Starting off with .hack// Fragment, yes, it's an online game where you play...ONLINE. You get to create your character, give them your desired gender, appearence, and class (i.e. Heavy Blade, Blade Master, Twin Blade, Wave Master and Long Arm).
However, with this being an online game there's the limitation where Japan plays against Japan and the U.S. plays against the U.S., simple no?
You need the PS2 Network adaptor connect online of course.
This game will not have any MONTHLY CHARGES, but even though Bandai will have their own server for you, actual factual game play will take place on this "area server" and that runs on your PC. So that means there will be some sort of way on how to connect your PS2 to your PC. Your PC will represent a certain section of The World. You will be able to create a dungeon or area by using dungeon creation tools of the sort. Other online features include chatting and receiving actual e-mail.
And just like any MMORPG, you will be able to create guilds and parties will be in groups of three.
