So who's played them?
La Pucelle
Disgaea Hour of Darkness
Phantom Brave

I own all 3 and beaten them, disgaea is the best IMO.

I haven't played any of them but I like their style. All their games have a distinct anime feel to them.

Yeah its animish and very fun.

La Pucelle- Story is light harded, funny. Plot is simple, good vs evil. A few plot twists and realizations here and there but thats about it.

Game play is a strategic rpg, like the rest of the Nippon Ichi games, its grid based and its turn based..well turn base meaning that all your characters take their turn then the enemy and so forth. Max lv in the game, along with all Nippon Ichi, is 9999. A decent amount of sidequests, item hunting, pretty decent.

Disgaea-Takes place in the netherworld. Its funnier than La Pucelle and is more entertaining. You play the role as Prince Laharl that woke up from a 2yr old nap finding out your dad's dead and nows your chance to rule as overlord (he doesnt care that his dad kicked the bucket) Throughout the story though the character develops and such in a interesting way.

Gameplay- Plays like La Pucelle but its improved upon. A few things added, few ideas taken out.

....phew explaining takes awhile....ya know what just go to www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2 and look for the games, you'll find all you need..

The point is the games are awesome ^^ but hard to find, especially now that they have been released for a good while.
