before level 30 there is really no +acc gear for any job besides battle gloves which sam cant equip.
I know, its why I am concentrating on STR+ equipment right now =P The only downfall of Samurai is its accuracy, so the moment I get level 30+, I'll get some ACC+ gear as well, and not just a little bit of it either =P

EDIT: Actually, there is a piece of equipment that grants ACC+ status, and its the Windurstian Tekko, which I have, Thank God XD

My dex is +18 without Leaping Boots. I recently ran into a mithra THF level 57 and she had 3 or 4 pieces of AF on, as well as deft rings and Leaping Boots. Her boost was only +19, one more than mine. I don't know about you but that makes me feel pretty good.

What do you know, you've never played THF to my level.
She might own my satas cos of her naturally high DEX and AGI but I can use gear to boost that.
Humes are a balanced race, they can excel exceedingly well in most jobs, maybe not as well as a specific race but still quite good, thats why I picked Hume, because I want to level many types of job. Where her DEX and AGI is better, my STR and ATT is naturally higher, making my weaponskills stronger, plus with dual wield I build up TP fast.

and that mithra can use exactly the same gear to increase their stats higher. its a well known fact that for DD elvaan is the best, Mage type jobs tarutaru's are the best, thf/rng mithra rocks the boat, and tank jobs galka tend to last longer.

Thanks parrot. Humes excel well in all jobs and combinations though, they are the middle race, if you want to play a lot of jobs well play a hume, if you just wanna be a tank go Galka, if blah blah and so on and so forth.

So what she can use the same gear, my Weapon skills will still do more damage.
Mithra naturally make better THF, but if a Hume THF really works hard at it he can be better later on because when you mix in things like Viper Bite, Shark Bite, a well balanced character who can SATA well AND hit high with the weaponskills is important, especially if you play /NIN because people are going to depend on your SATA shark bites to hit with power.

Thats why I still think Hume makes an excellent THF when using WS, better than a Mithra using WS with SATA.

Why the hell am I arguing with you anyways, you're not hume, you're not mithra, and you ain't a THF.

And I hate know it alls. Pls stop trying to impress us with your massive knowledge and information you got by reading KI and Alla. I'm speaking from experience playing the job, you're speaking from what you've probably read.

i know im not mithra/hume/galka/taru but i know from experience of partying with thfs that having more DEX and AGI helps SATA better than having more attack, the only advantage a hume really has over mithra is attack/str this helps with gaining tp, because you can actually damage a mob.

attack is the 3rd modifier on a SATA weaponskill, it takes the priority DEX > AGI > STR/ATTK. this is a well known fact. i have no real reason to try and impress anyone, im just pointing out that this is how it goes.

NO!

Let me tell you something.

Normal Sneak Attack without trick attack isn't all that.

If you hit Sneak attack and Trick Attack it does more than double the damage of a normal Sneak Attack

SA > TA > WS is bull. in SATA hitting the TA is just as important as hitting the SA. TA itself theres a large chance you're going to hit, SA itself theres a large chance your DMG is not going to be as great as iti should. Together they are a great combination. I know this from experience having soloed {too weak} and hitting them for 200 with SA, and hitting IT+ mobs for 500+ with SATA.

Attack may be the east important thing but in a great battle having strong WS can make all the difference. Plus using a WS with SATA will increase hate, so it helps if you have a NIN tanking, what witht he new nerf and all having a THF with a good strong WS ready helps a lot.

So DEX > AGI > STR/ATTK my ass, all are equal when it comes to SATA, but sometimes WS doesn't come into it. When it does though all 3 parts are equal.

True, although a Mithra can build TP faster because of their naturally better accuracy. And I don't mean to put a downer on the job Grae, I mean I like THF and mine is almost 50. But getting party's in the high 50's lower 60's is going to be very hard, seeing as alot of other jobs can basically do your SATA job for you. Most DRK, and SAM sub THF at lv60. :(

it's actually really useful.....from my dragoon, i get agility and strength and the samurai packs on more....so i'm pretty unstoppable! :D

and it's actually recommended by teh GM....so that's why aswell :)
