View Full Version : Red Hot Chili Peppers
To me, the Chili Peppers are like the greatest band ever (followed closely by Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver and maybe AFI and Nirvana) to ever exist. I love their stuff, it's just so unique and I dunno... funky, xD. Individually, I guess they don't exactly have the best instrumentals or vocals, or even lyrics (though I like some of their lyrics, some of is like complex in a way or just different... or something like that), but when you hear "overall" or some word like that, it sounds pretty awesome. I've mostly listened to their newer stuff (though I guess the Greatest Hits album does have several old songs so I have listened to some old stuff), but I have listened to a few of their older songs - just as awesome <3 Though sometimes when I listen to too many of their "soft" songs all at once without anything hard or loud, I get kind of sleepy >< Anyways, what do you think of the Chili Peppers?
Yeah I like them as well but I've only really heard less than 10 songs of theirs! You'll probably like them alot more than I do. Are they meant to be a rock band? I'd say the best rock bands has to be Queen and Guns N Roses. Both of these bands write their own songs, play their own instruments and vocals. They're just simply the best.

Well yeah I guess they are since "rock" is a pretty broad way to define a band's genre since there are many different sub-genres of rock. But yeah they are, kind of grungy-funky rock, xP. Though I dunno what you would call them, but let's just leave it as "rock", xD. (Pssst.... I don't think GN'R wrote Knockin' On Heaven's Door, they just remade it.... I think the same goes with Live And Let Die (though I could be wrong with THIS one), xP. But yeah GN'R are like definately awesome <3). And Grace it's too late now, I can't add a poll =/

He made Live And Let Die song for a James Bond film called Live And Let Die! I can't remember the year it came out, but I'll let you know when I find out. Not that your interested. Knocking On Heaven's Door, not sure who made that song or wrote it but I know that many people like to sing that song.

Yeah i'm sure EVERYONE has heard of the The Beatles and maybe even Paul Mccartney, but yeah thanks for that. Oh yeah.... I remember a James Bond movie by those names, xP. I've heard the original before though (of Live And Let Die) only wasn't sure who sang it (heard it somewhere and yeah, xP).

I love the Chilli Peppers, great band ^^ i'm not a huge fan like some but I love all if not most of their songs.

Californication was good.There was a simplicity in their songs and another disinguishing factor.
They're all very talented... well okay, John can't really play guitar, but hey it works... Flea's bass lines are amazingly... amazing... but he always uses that SAME tone... vary it a bit! Heh
Aye they're a good band :)

I like them a lot. They're not my favorite band, but they're up there. I love their style, it's very unique, and the lead singer has a very comfortable voice.

Agreed. Im happy to be a mexican :D , but of course I live in the US...like crap I would live in Mexico :rolleyes:
