I used to watch this all the time. It was one of those series where you had to watch the next episode to see what would happen. Anyway, it's not very popular anymore and this is because it turned into a franchise that refused to die. The first disappointment was the departure of Brock, although he wasn't gone that long. Then they made these new Pokémon and it got really repetitive because Ash had to go similar tasks and it just dragged. Team Rocket definitely stopped being funny after the first 100 episodes, which is why I cringe when they keep saying their dumb speech. They should be reduced to small appearances in my opinion. :rolleyes:

It's so fu**in' stupid, the plot I mean. It's too repetitive.

Yeah, the games are pretty awesome. But the show is just repetitive to the death. Take it off the air already. Don't you notice that at the end of every episode, Ash and company always wave goodbye to some new person they met during a sunset? So gay!

yeah no crap ass always does thaqt it plays stupid music then bye im retard and whats really funny is it uses playback animations and its really bright and sunny for 3 seconds and then its sun down with some narrator saying some crap we dont care about.
Too goddamn repetitive. Maybe when I first saw the show when I was like 6 or 7 it was pretty cool, but after like maybe the first or second series it was just plain old and stupid. The games were pretty good, but after Gold and Silver I just stopped, even the games were getting repetitive, it's just stupid... like LeafGreen and FireRed? wtf? Indeed a leaf is green and fire is often red =P And the extra "3rd" version of the two will be WaterBlue (you know like how Blue and Red had Yellow, Gold and Silver had Crystal and Sapphire and Ruby had Emerald). I also played the TCG GBA game which was pretty fun, I stopped the card game like maybe a short while before I stopped playing the games and sometime after I stopped watching the show. It was fun at first but yeah, but then was just stupid. I had an awesome deck, though, xD.

Oh yeah, it used to be great when I watched it. That was way back when I was like...12, 13, 14. But yeah, every single show is practically the same. It's colourful enough to watch but I'd either rather watch something else cause I know what's coming, or I'd not have the time.
I still remember the first Pokémon I ever had! :D

I don't watch it now because it's on too early and I've missed it for about 10 months. I can't even remember what happened from before I stopped seeing it. All I know is that this girl called May and her brother Max joined and Ash and Brock had new clothes. Misty and Brock left but Brock came back. In a special episode, he goes home and has a battle with his estranged mother because she disgraced the gym. It's really funny and rather smelly how those dudes never changed their clothes. They wore the same shit in almost every episode except when some ninja made them play tradition or something. But May is a dork. They should keep Misty even if she is annoying. May is worse because she acts like a novice and Ash has to do everything for her.
The movies are a bit too dark for young kids. The one where Mewtwo went crazy was rather evil because he cloned his own Pokémon army and had them fight other Pokémon to the death and a lot of them got hurt before they realised that violence is wrong. I agree, the cards and games are causing obsessive fans to squander even more money. They've gone too far.

Pokemon at first was great. The first episode i watched was PIkachu vs. Richu which ot me into pokemon. After the new pokemon came out it got all gay. But the Mewtwo movie kicked ass.

Anyways,I just don't like shows that have the moral that pokemon carries ie Shaman King,Zatch Bell.I really don't know whats it doing on air.Esp on CN.Thats just wrong.
The Mewtwo movie was awsome though.
lol POKEMON ROCKED! however it seems to have gone the same way as old yeller (mmm rifle) the games still rock... apart from their repetitiveness. I remember finding about 5 really rare cards in one of the booster packs once :D... aint seen the tv show in years.
and you're quite right about what you said about the movies being a bit too "dark" for kids... I saw one of them on tv (while i was flicking) the other day and it freaked me out lol :P

I used to be Pokemon mad when I was in year 5 (bout 10 year old). I can't knock the GBA games (only upto Crystal) because they are fantastic RPGs

I use to watch pokemon, only cause I -had- to my little brother liked it and made me sit with him and watch it. I did collect the cards though, they were great then they got banned from school cause of fake cards being produced lol! excellent
i had the cards it was ridicoulus how much they became worth though lol and howmany differen types there were. and again the games for gba are great.

Dude, the cards were a freakin' goldmine! My god, owning a mint condition classic Charizard was like, $100...Stupid kids stuffing them in their pockets like crap-faces...

yeah that charizard card really made people mad when someone else had it. it used to be like 200$ before but since pokemon inst poupllar any more its cheaper. god i rember a kid selling a friggin mew for 75$ dollars before that was a feackin rip.

I had 15 of the sparkling Mew cards cos they came free with this magazine, there was about 5 copies in each of the 3 newsstands in town and I stole every single card XD
I used to kick so much ass in Pokemon Gold, I transferred my strongest 'mon from Blue and made a kickass team XD Mewtwo at lv100 with max stats n shit, it was lush.
Aint seen the show for o about 4-5 years by now.

Never really liked the Pokémon anime. I think it's because of the Dutch language, but that typical for kid series here. Think I was too old to really like Pokémon. I played the game for a really short time though with a emulator.

The show was ok when I was little, but got so stupid, same thing over and over. I do like the games alot though, but they are running out of fresh ideas though... I remember cloning mews and trading them to all of my friends. It got stupid after a while though because everyone just kept making the same team as me...
i cloned my charizard lev 100 on my gold and and sold it to my freind for 20$ bucks, what a dumbass.
i dont know if iknow you revan because the kid only had one but had every thing else.

Man pokemon got boring for me after 6th grade when it first came out to America. After playing the games, watching the episodes on the TV....it seemed kool, but then Team Rocket never dies or goes away, they 98% of the time always fly way at the end...
its so boring...
the games are really really fun but i never really liked the show because like evryone else said it was the same thing over and over

nope not really...but I remember the first card i saw was my cousin's halographics charizard...we didnt even know it was worth alot, so some kid wanted to trade it for $20 bucks and a vaporeon halographic card...

Yeah I used to play the cards YEARS ago lol. When I did decide quit (and I had already stopped watching the show WAY before that lol) realising it was stupid I just packed them away somewhere. And then one day when my mum just happened to be going to the markets, I gave the cards to her to try and sell and this one place couldn't buy it cause they already had too many cards lol (and I think they were selling 20c a piece or something, well you know I guess depending on the card or maybe that was for any). I had a crapload of holographics (sp?) if I remember correctly (oh and yeah I think I just ended up giving them away, I forget lol) never had a charizard, always wanted one though =( lol.
i gave all my cards to this kid that lived down the street from me just because he liked all different kinds of card games so i mean i had like 2 or 3 shoe boxes full and just gave them away lol i had like 3 charizards

Poke'mon was good in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, then it became very repetive. Team Rocket's " Prepare for trouble" became old, very, very fast. In 2002, it was good until all the random crap happened. The movies were decent, when I actually liked poke'mon. I don't like anymore, as I have better anime to watch than that show. However, it was years before Ash got a new set of clothes, and that confused me to no end.

Both me and my sister like PoKeMoN and I can't wait for the new episodes to be aired on Cartoon Network on the 13th of this month.
Sure I'm 22 and I don't care if you laugh at me for liking this anime.
Everyone has their likes and dislikes.
I can't wait for the Diamon & Pearl episodes to air here in the U.S. this September or October.

Got into it when me and Tsuji had summer vacation in primary school (come to think of it, maybe I was 11 o_O Dunno), when Pokemon was first aired in Belgium, we both liked it. :P
That's how we got into the games and stuff too, I thought those were really enjoyable back then. My favourite was Silver. XD
I don't like it anymore though, neither the anime or the games. The anime is just basically for kids, and the games just got kind of repetitive.
Eh the anime series is idk...just not my cup of tea ya know? I enjoy the games because well who doesnt enjoy capturing things and using them for battle XD
