You think there will be peace on earth or there will never be peace(just
like what Tupac rapped :P)? There is a 0% possibility that there
will never be peace, imo and 'cause of the crimes these days, I
can see the violence here in the world. So why don't we just
stick together, unite and promote peace?

You know..Everyone says that but it's not that simple, everyones different and everyone doesnt want "Peace". Because people really cant live withou conflict. Yeah, ok I dont mean people cant live without murder or anything like that. But there will never be proper peace, or remotely any type of peace because everyone conflicts with everyone. I wouldn't usually agree with Dom, but I'll have to add to her point XD. I think if there was a time where we all lived in peace, I think we'd go mad. Because somewhere in the human structure thingy, we've got that little bit of DNA that tells people to become angry, and thus anger can cause violence and crime, and it would basically just spark off another era without peace. But then again, if we can't live in complete peace, I seriously doubt we can live in complete war.

Unless they want to alter mankinds genes then there is no hope whatsoever of there ever being peace on earth. Cause the 'animal' urge of being territorial and agressive is our second nature (we've all just got our own heads so far up our arses that we pretend it doesn't exist and call ourselves 'sophisticated' and 'humane') bollocks to it all I say.

Wars in a way are a good thing... I mean i don't like how people get killed and stuff....
But it keeps the worlds population down.... And avoids them having to bulldoze more forests to build homes. Although even then its only slowing down the inevitable, lets just admit that the entire human race is just a bunch of violent, pathetic, wheezing, shagging lardy bastards eh?

It would be boring with just complete peace. That and we could never live with complete peace - even if somehow our genes were changed, we simply couldn't like that... it'd just be too weird and everything. Peace means alot of things would change - no fighting, even the slightest bit of argueing or something, no insulting so even if your just like calling someone a nickname or like yeah, no crimes AT ALL not even something very small such as stealing your brother's wallet or something and no wars, which might be a good thing in SOME cases, but still. It's just like Yin And Yang, where there's good there's evil, where's there's evil there's good, so if there's peace they'll also be war and vice-versa, a balanced world would be better than an unbalanced world... yeah that sounded weird, but whatever O_o

Nope, I get what you mean Auron. Basically a Society within complete evil, would be obliterated wouldn't it? As would a Society of complete good. Maybe not on a destructive scale, like you'd expect with evil but definitely on a mental scale. People would WANT to fight every so often because you can't get on with just everybody. Plus it's good to let off steam. If you held everything back, you'd either lead onto killing yourself (which would cause problems because then other people would be blaming people for that) or killing someone else (and with that there's always a person who wants revenge). So all I really mean is, Evil and Good can't live without each other.

And if you held everything back when someone harmed, insulted, etc you then you'd turn out like Ned Flanders ;) Don't want that happening now to do you? xD. Peace is when there is no conflict at all, no hatred, nothing... (World) peace is like an imaginary thing, you could say since it'll never happen =/ Though there are other "forms" of peace, like say if there was peace between some other guy and me that would be peace, but only between him and me. Or say if a country had peace with another country, again that would only mean there would be no war, so in SOME way it's kind of like peace...

The only time there could probably ever be peace would be if the world had just ONE ruler... cause half the wars are started by world leaders hating other world leaders etc etc. But then again if the world had no boundries and there were no individual countries and stuff and one language then you would have people wanting to be independant and fighting the one governement. Its all ****ed up Peace is just a bedtime story that you tell children to make them feel safe and secure why do people just wish for the impossible? I bet if the world was at peace we would all be sat here with a topic called 'War' and debating if there would be ever one.

That is how I see it, exactly.

You can't have peace, the second you do I can bet someone would find something, anything and end up fighting again.

It may be pretty negative but it's what I believe would happen.

Peace is an impossibility. There is a reason all things don't live in harmony and that's cause if they did we would all perish. Human beings are weak. Left to our own devices you put a human against a lion in a fight who is gonna win? Human's survive because of our ingenuity. If we all lived peacefully we wouldn't have invented the gun. And against the lion you want the gun. Maybe we wouldn't have nuclear bombs, but then we wouldn't have nuclear power. Without the technological advances war creates we wouldn't have GM crops or the medicines so many of us rely on, and if the time comes when an asteroid's heading our way we want a means to defend ourselves.

Violence and war is all part of natural selection, and whilst millions may die from this violence it makes the speicies stronger. Peace is not only impossible - it is suicidal.

there is never peace anywhere even with friends or family. such as me and my friends joke around with each other but even then it still has a small amount of hurt in it and that causes slight conflict and many things revolve around conflict comedy is conflict speech in itself is conflict we all do things in conflict no matter what people say we have peace with other countries but we still hate their people and mock them the only reason we have peace is because we are not warring but that is still not peace . the only way to achieve peace is to destroy and kill every single ****ing thing on earth.

Peace is nothing more but a number that doesn't equal to anything. A number
that has absolutely no true existance, but for hope. We pray for peace, even
if it is uncalculable. Its like when you enter in the pi symbol into a computer or
calculator, the number never ends. It goes on and on, that's how war and
violence is. It'll never end, until we all die from the weapons we orginally
created to protect ourselves.
