After a long wait it finally happened, an official english version of RPG-Maker XP has been released.

It features a full english helpfile and a a complete translated script area! one minor drawback is that the're is a small bug on the actors panel of the database. But the best of all is that you now can sell your games as shareware.

Enterbrain has also released a patch for the english version of RPG-Maker, this'll fix some bugs left in the original release including the actor tab bug

You mean thats it only just coming out in english NOW?
I thought it was released in english months ago, strange.
Least its out and the price aint to bad either - $60.00 - Alright-ish.

Least its out and the price aint to bad either - $60.00 - Alright-ish.That was an illegal version translated by someone, most because of the thought that Enterbrain don't release RPG Maker outside of Japan.

But this is a good thing, maybe I'll buy it then if I feel like making an RPG. Cause on my current one I haven't worked for a really long time...

Sweet, I might try and get this =O I need to learn that scrypting though ; ; Seems awful hard =P

It's good that they've brung this out, but im going to keep with my RMXP that I have. Some scripts dont work in this release and I dont wanna lose the stuff i've coded because of it.

Heh. I didn't like trying to learn a new scrypt...but yeah, now that its officially out its rekindled my desire to play with it. :)

I im gonna try the official out even though it means starting my project again but since its official I think it will give me a desire to not stop on my project.

you don't have to restart completely, there are ways in wich you can "rescue" your old project and continue it with the new maker!

If your project was on RPGMAKER2000/3 then you will have to start over, if your project was made in RPGMAKERXP, then you can still use it easy.
