View Full Version : Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht
I am sure some people have played this game =P
I played it and I must say I enjoy it quite alot =P The story is nice and complex, and the difficulty is nice and challenging =P Characters are very nicely done as well IMO. I am currently stuck on a boss called Tiamat, my God is he a hard one to beat XD I missed the Double Strike thingy which makes me deal more damage by attacking twice, so that just adds to the difficulty by a huge chunk @_@ I think he should still be do-able though =P Can I ask, anyone who has come across this double ether attack thing, is there any way I can retrieve it again in the game without fighting Tiamat or anything?
What do ye think of the game? =P Like it or hate it? What is your favourite character? Fill's' in =P
EDIT: I'm just after beating Tiamat after a long hard try XD Geezuz was he a tough cookie to beat with his Ruined Earth E. attack =P I did it though, so thats good =P Just leveling one or two levels really does make a difference!
Lol, I hated this game. XD It was kind of slow and I just didn't like the characters.
I thought it was great, but toooo much time watching and not enough playing...but can't complain I loved the game. I liked the characters..well except a few mainly Allen..thats about it.

this game is awsome :D i forget where I am, but I should really start playing again. If i can find my game. I want to get the second one, but want to beat the first before I do.

Dammit! I love this game with a vengeance, which I don't think makes any sense. I never bought, which was stupid (really stupid!), I rented it once, and I lost my memory card the day I did. So the farthest I got was when the Gnosis board your ship. Then I rented it again, after I found my memory card, and then my PS2 broke. After that, I gave up hope of ever trying to finish the game ever again. "But the game is awesome, though," said the boy who only played the first 10 minutes it.
Lol cool, some people like it like myself XD I like this game alot, was worth the money for sure =P I bought the second one as well, so I am gonna start on that one when I can =P Im again stuck though because they say something of Loading up a map of the Encephalon or something, and I dont know how to do that @_@ Oh well... =p
So yeah, KOS-MOS <3 XD
I like it, I just think shion loves her creation abit too much. ^_^6

I borrowed this game from my friend, because I bought the second one (I don't know why...) a while ago. lol
I have a question for all of you who are playing it...
How long have you been playing it so far?
Percentage wise... about how much of that time was playing, and how much was watching the cinematics?
I'm going to start playing it soon, either that or go sell my copy of Xenosaga II.
Well, I'll divide the times using the 100% method...
65% or 70% Playing, 35% or 30% watching (I train alot and buy alot of items)
Cinematic scenes are nice and long too, I like that for a change, its at least a bit different in its own way, you know? :P
And I'll check GameFAQS, I hope they have what I need... I'll edit this post if I must if I can proceed in the game XD =P

I heard of that, Xenosaga 1 had a very good score out of 10, while I think Xenosaga II got 7.8 or something... still, I'm gonna try it out and make the best of it =P

I just started playing this the other day, although I didn't have much time to play it. I'm currently still at the beginning, in the ship. Just finsihed the first boss battle. Too early for me to judge the game so I won't say anything yet. :P

Yeah, cool =P The beginning is quite nice methinks, nice way to introduce it all really =P I hope you like Xenosaga, Kryti =O (And then again if not, then thats okay too like :P =P)

I agree with some of the others. There was alot of "watching" broken up with small fragments of "playing". It has a great storyline but hopefully by the end of the series they'll be able to mesh out the two.

I HATED THE SMALL FRAGMENTS OF FIGHTNING AND CHIT, messa like to fight things but anyway the stroyline was good in the game and basically thats all i care about ion games :D

Is it worth buying Episode II? Since I haven't played Episode I, because they didn't released it here. I'm also thinking of playing Xenogears first, cause I never played that one...

Well if you never played the first game, you would have missed a huge chunk of stuff, so unless you say "I really want a Xeno game", I dont think you should opt for Episode II personally, unless its like, to write content about it on the site as such =P
Also, I heard Xenogears was basicly Episode V in the six-part series of Xenosaga, but its VERY well worth your while, do buy/get it if you get that chance, really good game =P

Red that somewhere too. Can't buy the game, Square never released it in Europe, so I downloaded it. I know it's wrong doing that, but it's their fault. :upset:

XenoSaga... the games are more like Metal Gear Solid. Awesome Story, loooong cutscenes, little peices of gameplay, good battle system :)
