I didn't really know where to put this... here seems to be the best.

I thought it would be a good idea if you all heard about the new Warchild Album released recently.

Warchild is basically a charity that aim to help children affected by war all over the world:

War Child International is a network of independent organisations, working across the world to help children affected by war. War Child was founded upon a fundamental goal: to advance the cause of peace through investing hope in the lives of children caught up in the horrors of war.

To help raise funds for Warchild, various bands and artists got together to record an album, which is on sale now.

Basically I made this thread to sorta tell you all about it, so if you want to you can go get the album and support the charity :D

The tracklist on the album (to help make up your mind) is:

Anthony and the Johnsons - ‘Happy Xmas (War is Over)’
Belle & Sebastian - ‘The Eighth Station of the Cross Kebab House’
Bloc Party - ‘The Present’
The Coral - ‘It Was Nothing’
Damien Rice - ‘Crosseyed Bear’
Elbow - ‘Snowball’
Emmanuel Jal - ‘Gua’
The Go! Team - ‘Phantom Broadcast’
Gorillaz - ‘Hong Kong’
Hard-Fi - ‘Help Me Please’
Kaiser Chiefs - ‘I Heard It Through the Grapevine’
Keane and Faultline - ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’
The Magic Numbers - ‘Gone Are the Days’
Manic Street Preachers - ‘Leviathan’
Maximo Park - ‘Waste Land’
Mylo - TBC
Radiohead - ‘I Want None of It’
Razorlight - ‘Kirby's House’
Tinariwen - TBC
The Zutons - ‘Hello Conscience’

You can get it at Woolworths... I'm definitely gonna go get it... the music on it sounds cool :D

Anyways... I definitely want to buy the album to support this charity, because when all the 'big, hard, tough' grown ups are fighting the children are rarely thought of, and they lose parents and brothers, sisters... whole families. Kinda depressing really...

okay, the album might be boring, but is it really about the music?

*note, I know the irony in the fact that nearly everything in my life is about the music, but this time its about the charity*
