Since the name 'Tidus' was never mentioned/referred in any
Final Fantasy or just Final Fantasy X, many are confused
of its pronounciation. Is it Teed-as, Teed-us or Tide-us?
I'm still confused  . So what do you think is correct?
The correct pronounciation is Tee-dus
i know this cause on the interview with the english voice actor he says "tee-dus" sounds like tedious xD

I know it's Tee-dus, it's pronounced that way by Wakka in Kingdom Hearts, but I don't like it at all. Tye-dus is so much better IMO, I much prefer that name.
I prefer Tai-dus or Tye-dus.
So does my chubby cheek buddy Kris.

i always say tye-dus don't ask that is just how i think it is supposed to be said
I used to pronounce it "tye-dus", but I've started saying "te-dus". Saves arguments with my friends.
I pronounce his name 'Tye-dus'. :)
But I really don't know if that's how you say it.
It's Tid-us.
If it's Tai-dus then it's Tai-fa.
It's not "Tid-us" it's Tee-dus
I know the correct is Tee-dus, but I always say Tai-dus still. If you ever saw the comedy show "Titus" (which was damn good btw) then you know why.
And I pronounce Tifa like they do in AC XD

It's Tid-us.
If it's Tai-dus then it's Tai-fa.
The vowel after the D elongates the I - tEYEdus as opposed to tiddus
I prefer Tai-dus or Tye-dus.
So does my chubby cheek buddy Kris.
I prefer whining emo bitch :P :P

I always say Tiedus (Tie as in that thing around your neck when you wear a suit)
:S
If you read Tidus's character description in the back of the guide (Brady Games?), the artist charged with drawing him was given, as part of his information, that the character's profession had to deal with WATER.
Water.
Tide.
Tide-uss.
Tidus.

T-Y-Dus. As in the Tide. I agree with that theory, I was actually just about to write that myself. Just glad, I read through the thread first.
On the other hand, Tifa, is TIF-uh. To me. If you don't agree, I don't care. That's how I've always said it. T-Y-Dus and TIF-uh.
Tye-dus (like some people said here) is what I think is the preferred, but I think people say different pronounciation because its due to the accent of each country? (or something like that)
