Yes folks that's right, the HHN meetup is now being planned.
Why now you ask?
1 - So we can save up enough money for us all to go.
2 - Location to choose.
3 - So we make these plans well ahead of time and know if anything is going to come up.
Okay well I've been talking to a few people, and I and another person really wanted to go to a beach area, we were going to suggest Scotland, or somewhere very down South.
2 people suggested a theme park such as Alton Towers. I didn't think Alton Towers would be a good idea because the Alton Towers hotel is quite expensive. The nearest place to stay after that is a B&B which I know will be packed or a campsite 3 - 5 miles away. Also Alton Towers itself is pretty out of the way in the country, I was hoping for something with easier access.
So I thought.. Blackpool!
It has a beach, large rides, nightlife, lots of places to stay, if we book ahead I'm sure we can find somewhere easily, so thats why I'm planning it now.
We may go to Blackpool, we may not, but I think it's worth looking into as it has a lot of things that may interest us.
Also I as hoping we do it right in the middle of summer, smack in the middle. Heres hoping we can make it between 3 - 5 days long!

Hrmm... I'd love to come, but I can't find any direct flights from Bournemouth Internatinal (my local airport) to Blackpool. If anyone can think of any viable root from Poole/Bournetmouth to Blackpool then tell meeee ; ; - It's something like a 6/7 hour train journey.
I might go pester my Dad to see how pliable it would be to fly me up to Blackpool Airport in his low wing Beech Sundowner, but it's quite a flight for a light aircraft, and my baggage would be limited xD
Just wondering if there might be the chance that my parents & little sister might go off on holiday without me next year, which always leaves the option of my house being empty for a couple of days - but then again I do live really far away from everyone else x_x

Could be cool, Blackpool aint my favourite place to go for a holiday but itll be fun anyway :D

weeell, just asked my Dad, it's about a 3 hour flight if my Dad takes me up in his syndicate plane - and I'm likeing the sound of 3 hours in the air in our plan more then 7 hours in a train - with changeovers (I'm like... the most insecure person ever when it comes to public transport - I'm constantly thinking I'm going the wrong way ; ; )

I don't like going on the train on my own ; ; I get really insecure as to whether I'm going on the right train, right direction etc. I have like... zero faith in the public transport section when I'm travelling alone xD

Give me a complete price list, and I'll hop on the train with Kayleigh and the others from the North East who're coming.

I "technically" live in Sydney but i'm like 1 - 2 hour drive away from the actual city). Most likely you'll be in the city part right? Seeing the Harbour Bridge and Opera House xP.

i dont think i could get away with this again. i have no way of actually getting the money, and i dont think my parents would believe the ''theyre all friends of henders family'' again. they dont want me on forums, so a meet would make them flip. you'd think i'd have some independance by now, wouldnt you?

Well, good things come to those that wait, I have finally found a job! It's not all completely 'finalised' yet, but Mr Teoh (music teacher at my school) came up to me today and asked if I'd like to do Sound and Lighting at the Castle for the banquets, and HELL YES! £25 a NIGHT for 3 nights?!?!?! £75 a weekend?!?!! Y'DAMN RIGHT I WANNA DO IT.
So I might be able to come afterall... :D

I'm definately coming, even if I have to scrounge money off my parents x_x Never been to Blackpool before, so getting there might be somewhat of an issue, I doubt I'll be able to drive by then (sucks ; ; ) I'll have to look around and see if there're any coaches that run from poole -> Blackpool, because I looked at the train journey from Poole (my local trainstation) up to Blackpool and... it sucks. There were about 5 transfers and a bus - I'd have a fit trying to do that xD I don't even like catching one train somewhere, 5 is pushing my limits. My Dad wouldn't drive me up there but he could fly me (http://www.flugzeugbilder.de/a/24/03/1091445962.jpg).
Poor plane, that's such an ugly picture of it, I can't even find one with me in it either >_>;;

What the hell? Jesus! How come when I'm just old enough to get a bike, the bastards raise the whole license crap?
Not every driver is a complete maniac retard who wants to smash things up, or drive full-plet down a motorway to look cool, or pretend he's Jeremy Clarkson.
The whole driving thing does NOT take that long - just thought I'd point that out. I know a lot of teenage drivers (17/18 year olds)and trust me, it didnt/doesnt take that long. Can't be arsed to explain though.
But yeah, i should be driving - if not i'll take the train or get a coach, doesnt bother me, though driving would be the best. ^_^
on average takes 40 hours to learn to drive, according to my instructor anyway, so one hour long lesson a week looking at 9 months (cant be bothered to work out the exact details today), though some schools do intensive courses that take about 3-5 days of 8 hour driving a day, and then some people can pass in 20 hours, but once you pass there is pass plus which is 6 more lessons teaching motorway driving.... and knocks 25% off your insurance, so yeah can take a while and thats if you pass first time, but anyway i should have my license by may next year so might be able to make it to blackpool

i cant be bothered with those things, but i am thinking of changing from a single one hour lesson to two two hour lessons a week once my theory test is over, so who knows might be driving in time for christmas :D , then i have to find where to go in nottingham, i haven't been there before.
One lesson a week... I might go for 2 then... if thats possible.
not many instructors will let you do that cause most instructors struggle to fit you in for like just one lesson a week since lots of people are learning to drive.

How does everyone feel about camping?
My mother says B&Bs are expensive, thats why I'm looking into things like weekend package deals and guesthouses, even trying to find a hostel in the area.

camping is ok, but i was looking on http://www.blackpool-hotels.me.uk/ and a suite with bath, shower, tv, fridge ect for that time of year will cost about £1330 for 2 weeks so i will probably end up booking that.

i was just using that as a basis for price, i doubt i could stay 2 weeks, but its something like 36-95 pounds a night in a hotel depending on location time of year and size or room, this was for a 3 suite (double bed for me, single for my ego), with as many extra's as avaliable, such as tv mini fridge and bath tub (some just had showers)
well I will look up places, and find a good deal. We will probably have to find a few different places to stay, and if it comes downm to it we'll have to have luck of the draw to se who gets to stay at the cheaspest, obviously peopel without jobs and students get first pick, and me, well im not tyoo fussy with money and im rollin in it so i dont mind where I stay.
People will be allowed to make their own reservations, infact I would prefer that because then I wouldn't have to handle everyone's money but if you need an over 18 to book it for you, I can deal with that.
Aeyze shouldn't travel alone, Nidi, if you're coming up you and Alice should meet up and travel together, I'm sure Alice could handle going herself but just to be ont he safe side it's best to travel together, you know? Never know what kind of creeps are out there.
Obviously camping will be cheapest, that or a hostel
Campsites are usually out in the country, we will need transport, I prefer to stay in the town though where it's easy to get around places, because I like to stay out late :/
Hostels are conditional though. Or we can find the nearest Euro Hosteland walk in with big backpacks and swedish accents.
Looked up a few place sont hat link, not too expensive, pretty good actually, I was thinking it would be way more expensive, but personally, I think 3-4 nights would be our limit. I like The Sherwood Hotel and The Ascot Hotel, they seem pretty nice and with reasonable rates.

On a side note. If Dalton, Grae or Dom etc are still okay with coming down to... uh, well, go back up to Blackpool with me now knowing that I live right down on the coast, I'll feel so much better about going up to Blackpool - and I do realize this is probably incredibly silly of me, but I really am very insecure about travelling on my own >__> I'm one of those annoying people who has absolutely no confidence in myself ;_;

Why? I will get to see the south coast, I've never seen it, except for the cliffs of Dover, but th8at was on my way to france looking back (and they're grey, not white! >_<)
I can probably afford it because I spend a minimal amount of money as it is, and I already offered, and heck, it will be fun, just need a plan, but that can all be discussed later, as we have 9 more months of planning but accdomodation must be made soon, travel can be handled later.
I talked to Tsuji, and I wondered he could get the plane from Donegal to Edinburgh, I could pick him up, he could stay at mine for the night, then the next day early morning we set off to our destination,and if need be, pick up Alice first, but if we had to go pick you up first we'd need to come down a day early and stay somewhere overnight then leave in the morning and travel up to Blackpool together, it'll take me about 9-10 hours to train it down to where Aeyze is. (note to self, bring a travel pillow)

I'd arrive at blackpool at BLACKPOOL, Talbot Road bus station, Lancashire around 8:00pm'ish. I don't see anywhay I can get there much earlier unless I stay over night somewhere, but by going to Bristol with my Dad it shaves about 3 hours off the coach journey it would be from Bournemouth up to Blackpool.

Ijust called this place, I like it, it's got good services (walls are a bit bright though)
One person staying in a single room = £30 a night
Two people staying in a double room (not osure if this is 2 beds or one double bed) = £25 a night, per person

yeah but there's like 14 rooms in that hotel, some - probably most since its summer - are gonna be booked anyhows... so with more than 14 people probably going, we can't each get a room, and so on.

Do we have any idea what sort of duration the trip's going to be for? I know it was mentioned previously more then a weekend, but anything more detailed? 2 nights, 3 nights etc? so on and so forth?
[I'm not really that bothered about dates ~ My parents are going on holiday without me, I don't have a job, I do have one trip scheduled with a friend in August though, gonna have to make sure that doesn't clash with anything xD]

I want to go for 3-4 nights, whatever is good with you is fine, I'm thinking first night Friday.
Also I want it to be the middle to the end of July.
Friday the 21st of July to Monday the 24th of July (or Tuesday the 25th) you can stay for less or longer if you wish, not everyone has to stay for the same length.
