Okay, this is great fun :D Me and Dale have had a great laugh.

Type in something in the ENGLISH --> WHATEVER LANGUAGE YOU WANT thing, and hit translate, then the NEXT POSTER takes that, goes to www.freetranslations.com and translates it from that language into english, posts the results AND a new phrase that they translated from English to a language!

Example:

poster 1 - has translated something into french..
"Un jour qu'un homme est allé plus bas dans la rue manger quelque sherbert orange!"

poster 2 - translates it from french into english..
"A day that a man went lower in the street to eat some orange sherbert!"

Then puts something of their own...


Some of the translations back into english can be hilarious...

And, see what happens if you translate something from English into German, then that from German into French... then into Spanish... then Russian... THEN back to english...

Keiska, I don't think you really understand the point of this game.

Person A posts something in a foreign language. Person B then translates that, and then posts something new in a foreign language. Person C then translates THAT, etc, etc

EXAMPLE:

Person A: German to English: Ich bin der König des goldfish
Person B: I am the king of the goldfish. Spanish to english: Hola, creo que mi camello ha caído en su espejismo (note: this is now a NEW phrase)
Person C: Hello, I believe my camel has fallen in your mirage. Russian to English: Я люблю пить много водки, поскольку это - большая забава (This is ALSO a new phrase)


Each time, the person translates what's said by the person before them, and then gives a new phrase in a foreign language for the next person to translate. You don't just post and translate the same phrase.

Oh for godsake. The idea is, you translate what the person above you says THEN you make up your own thread.

You DON'T do a multi-linguial search for the same sentence because if you've noticed, that completely goes against the rules of the game and leaves the next person wondering what the hell is going on.

So far, Tharrick is the only other person besides me and Chris who knows how this works. Thank God, someone else read the rules.
