Weird problems with FireFox and/or my computer

ok, i'v noticed lately that my FireFox and/or My computer is acting up. I'v noticed that some Javascript just won't work. The best way I can think of saying what's wrong. If you go to this page http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/258700.asp and scroll down a bit to the screenshots, when you click on one I'm pretty sure it's suspose to open a small window with the screenshot, but when I click on it, nothing. I'v also tried several other sites that sure the same method or javascript methods to show screenshots and the same results happen when I click on it. I have the latest version of FireFox and javascript enabled if that helps. It used to work fine, but suddenly it just stopped working. Another problem that Is probably just from my crappy computer is that FireFox tends to not want to open. I click on my quicklaunch icon or my desktop icon and it doesn't open. I then have to ctrl+alt+del and close it in my progresses and then try again. Sometimes it will load but will not load my home page (HNH) It will load the title, but the address bar will be blank and so will the page, also no cursor or text is shown when i try to type something in the address bar. None of the firefox button will work etheir. I end up ctrl+al+deling it and trying another time. Sometimes i takes me 3+ times to get it to work properly. If anyone knows why any of these problems could be occuring please help.

Well, all I know is that it's not FireFox, because I can open up the screenshot thingy. Then again, I did JUST update it right now. So uh...maybe it's got something to do with that? Wish I could be of more help...

I have this problem too, using FF 1.5 beta 2.
After leaving the fox running for too long, all javascript ceases to function. A close/restart browser is the only way to re-enable it.
When I look in my JS console I get some ghey "Uncaught exception" and lots of tech bullcrap.

the thing is that i could start up my computer, open firefox and go straight to a page like that and it doesn't work.

I'd suggest reinstalling it then, mate

Done a complete virus/adware sweep recently?

make sure the components are properly installed and you have the latest available version of java running. sounds like its either something wrong with those or you just need to completly reinstall your OS because you have a trojan or virus.

Try making sure that pop-up blockers are not on
Restart your computer
Check for a virus/spyware
Check for updates to Firefox and your computer
Reinstall Firefox
Use Internet Explorer instead to open up that one application
