i am an "animaniac" as they say, i have seen so many different anime, and read so many manga, but i would have to say that these 5 anime are my top favorite ever.

It's a tough call...

1. Haibane Renmei. You know how I said it was a tough call earlier? I lied. This is easily one of the best drama anime series out there.

2. Spice and Wolf. If not for the versatile, charming heroine, then for the economics/mercantile theme present throughout.

3. Aria. If this series left me feeling one hint of sadness, it's that no more episodes will be produced after a lucrative 3-season run.

4. Bobby's in Deep. It's an old OAV that ran in the 70's, if I recall properly. It's on my favorites list solely for how laughably bad it is, kind of like how people take the time to watch B-grade movies about zombie strippers.

5. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Take a look at the cast of characters and you'll know why.
