Tarja fired from Nightwish

Read the last few newsposts.

The band gave an open letter to Tarja (then published it publically) and I think this is so cruel and unbelievable. I know there are quite a few Nightwish fans on here, so I'd like to hear some opinions. I'm devestated, for me Tarja was Nightwish, and Nightwish will never be the same without her, they have made a huge mistake firing her, they will never be as good or as famous as they were.

I love Nightwish, so this has upset me. It's sad to see her leave, but I...suppose it had to happen sooner or later. It wont be the same without her, I know that.

But, if she's doing one last album then I suppose that's at least better than nothing.

What they did was cruel though, she was the part of Nightwish... which... made Nightwish for me too, I guess. Letting her say bye properly would have been..well....nicer.

They've shot theirselves in the foot. And this has ruined my night, I loved nightwish... :(

I shall forever hold onto my Nightwish CDs, I doubt the band will be the same now without Tarja...she had an excellent voice. =/

Read the letter and stuff, I'm seeing it from the band's point of view a little. Maybe thats how it was.
Or maybe they were miffed that she was getting more money, and decided that they had basically sealed their reputation as a number 1 metal band, and decided to kick the greedy singer so they could reap the profits.

who knows, nice letter though, and I will miss Tarja.

Yeah, one thing with those letters though is that you will never EVER be sure...because frankly, you'll only ever be hearing one point of view. =/

I read this a while ago, it will certainly be ALOT different now in Nightwish...I hope for them they might pull things back up though, for themselves as such, y'know... but, such a shame she has to leave >< I hope for Nightwish they go in the right direction with this. @.@

Im not too sure of the future of Nightwish now... and I really pity whoever is replacing Tarja.. She might be known as 'the replacement' or perhaps living under the shadow of Tarja..
