But that's an old thread from a month or two ago so yeah I guess who cares, xD. Well obv. from reading my first post i'm definately going for the Xbox 360, several games I want on it and I just like the actual console (as in design, etc but the PS3 is more powerful then the 360 and probably might be more expensive) itself too. Like there's a few games I can think of - Halo 3, Quake IV, Fable 2, Dead or Alive 4 (though that's on PS3 too, right?) to name a few.

PS3 ~ I'm a sucker for sticking with the series of games I know and love, Final fantasy, Onimusha, DMC, Shadow Hearts, Kingdom hearts. Probably have to sell my Ps2 to cover costs so I'd definately want to be able to play all my other PS/2 games on it as well. As great as the lure of Halo and Fable is, I think I'll stick with Sony.

I'm gonna' have to say PS3, although I'll probably get it and Xbox 360. I heard the Revolution will go for a price tag anywhere ranging from $60 - $100, don't know if it's true or not though.

I think that's just a bit too cheap so I doubt it's the real price, but I could be wrong. I reckon it'd be around $150 - $250. Maybe more?

I really dont know, all I know is Im deffinetly getting the Xbox 360 and the PS3, not so sure about the Nintendo Console though...maybe not my kinda thing, but I'll have to see =P Xbox 360 for Halo 3 and some new games going with it like DOA4 or something =P PS3 for the FF's and for plenty of other games to select from in the future I'm sure =P If I can get both, I'll deffinetly get both XD

That's what I thought when I first heard that, but the Revolution will just be a new Gamecube. Same power, same graphics, etc. Nintendo said they're not trying to dominate the media market like Microsoft and Sony, therefor eliminating the use of high-end technology, which is why the PS3 and Xbox 360 will cost so much. :P

Damn. I accidentally hit the 360 on the poll, but I mean PS3. I think it's not worth getting the 360 when the graphics are way too similar to the Xbox. I was expecting it to like, blow me away, but I guess not. I know for a fact that I'm going for the PS3. Having an Xbox got me WAY too pissed off when all these RPG's came out and I couldn't do anything but stand by and drool, never getting a chance to play 'em. So yeah, PS3 for me! I'm really not even taking the Revolution into consideration. I thought the GameCube was too much of a kiddie system. If the Revolution is different, then uh...maybe. I don't know. But Sony's winning the race in my books.
Well you know it also depends on the games and how they make their graphics look cause from the screenshots of this one game coming out on the Xbox 360 - they're pretty awesome and kind of realistic (mostly face close-ups). The graphics are still better then the old Xbox, but it won't be better than the PS3 which has more power, but since when did graphics, etc matter? I MEAN ISN'T THAT WHAT ALL YOU PS FANS SAID WHEN THE XBOX CAME OUT? =P

You see but now, instead of X-Box having the win in graphics and PS2 having better games, now the PS3 is gonna' have better graphics and might have better games. (Though, I'm kinda' sure they're gonna.) And now the 360's hard drive won't be like a standard anymore, which in my opinion was the Xbox's greatest feature. Looks like right now, the only thing the 360 has over the PS3 is the release date, but when it's out, the PS3's gonna' trample the competition. (And again, I didn't even consider the Revolution. :D)

I think the X-Box 360 will sell closer to the PS3 than the X-box did to the PS2, but the only REAL advantage it has is a better controller this time around.

Game wise, you gotta go for the PS3. MGS4, FFXIII, Resi 5, GT5 etc. The best X-Box has is Halo 3. Good, but no match for the PS3s list.

lukeman: What's Resi? And like the newer FF's are just stupid now, I don't see a point in playing them, it may be fun at first and stuff, but like when you think about it. Storyline really isn't that great and some things are just too similar to the rest =/ And you just get some female char. wearing some well... I wouldn't say slutty, but something like that, clothes and you've got yourself a platnium (sp?) game =D And well I like racing games, but i'll live with NFS and just have to miss out on Grand Turismo =P Yeah PS3 does have MGS4. But look the 360 has Fable 2 (first was a GREAT RPG), Halo 3, DOA4 (I think it's on both?) and Quake IV. LIKE FRIGGEN QUAKE, ZOMG. Though it's on computer already and i'd rather play it there, xD.

Resi is Resident Evil 5, thats being released on XBOX 360 and PS3..
XBOX 360's release games may not be all that, but they still have a year to go to bring out better games before the PS3 is even released, I have to say after a month of release of the xbox 360 theres some good games coming out.

Yeah Tasslehoff. Go Nintendo. I voted for the Revolution, its gonna be so awesome. The control is putting us one step closer to VR and plus its nintendo. Gotta stick with what I grew up on. Plus its the cheapest. I will however get a PS2 cuz of my need for RPG's. 360 eventually, but not until ive gotten the other two, or I come across a random sudden increase in money, then I'd get one.

I must admit, if there is ONE thing I think the PS3 has done wrong (although don't get me wrong, I am still getting that rather than XBOX), it's the controller. The new design doesn't look like it will fit as snugly into the hand as the dual shock did. The nintendo one...the nintendo one I can't even BEGIN to get my head round! lol

Yeah, I really dont' like it's design. It's a little too...something for me. As for the Revolution controller, I don't like the whole remote control idea, but I do like the way it will be used. It's going to be motion sensitive, so that's gonna' be awesome. For some games, it's gonna' be so cool. If they make like, a star wars game, then it'd be like, a lightsaber! Whaaaa! But yeah, I wouldn't get the revolution for just that...

^ Now now you only hate it because of all those hardcore gamers that play it who pretty much spend most of their lives on Xbox Live playing Halo, xD. If you just PLAYED it alone for awhile, you'd have fun and enjoy it =P xP.
And yeah PS3 has a weird-ass controller (and console for that matter O_o) since, well..... like..... DUDE WHAT'S UP WITH THE SIDES MAN !? The Nintendo controller will fit inside an actual controller for those who don't want to use the controller that looks like a TV controller XD. Only bad thing is, the controller has no cable it just uses infrared(right?) or something else anyway, which is gonna be a pain.

PS2 controllers are fugly, they are way too spacious, but Sony will obviously bring out different designs

Yeah I posted a picture of that controller thing on an old thread about the new Revolution controller somewhere but i'm too lazy to find it again, xD. And it's a similar design to the current Gamecube controller only slightly different shape size and different colours (like where you "hold" the controller there's liek theses blue grip things and then the rest of the controller is white and button positions is a bit different. When you put the remote-controller in it they'll be like 2/3 - 3/4 of the controller sticking out, or maybe half? I dunno.
And yeah mostly likely Dom. I heard off someone they're gonna make a new controller by the time it's released or like after it's released or something (kinda like how Xbox changed their controller after it was released since it was really f*cked up lol). And whaddya mean by spacious? O_o.

I already have a PS2 and I really like the graphics and whatnot and I hear that the PS3 will be so much better. Although it might be a bit costy and whatnot I will get it when the price does drop. The control I heard was very nice and so was the system. Not sure on all the specs 100% but I do know that the graphics will be insane and also it will be able to play my old PS2 games (all 34 of them) as well.

^ Hackman, I know for sure that the specs. for it will be VERY good, somewhat even better than the 360 I hear, but that'll mean it's more expensive and trust me the controller is probably one of the WORST things about it. Whoever said that it was nice must be insane lol the colour is okay maybe but the shape, etc is just WEIRD. Not cool weird, just weird, xD. And the system isn't that great, it looks like a scanner and slightly big, but that's just me, I know some people who strangely enough like it.

I've seen 3 or 4 in game videos....argh what where they're names.... I think one of them was something like "Ring"....umm.....can't rememebr the others... I think one was DOA4, but NONE of the games i saw came close to that Killzone or Moto storm (I think thats the name!) on the PS3. XBOX is comin out sooner and has a nice controller, but PS3 is definatly better in terms of graphics...I've seen plenty of evidence of THAT!

Well, I'm with Lukeman! And revolution has good graphics, but the controller SUCKS, it's more like a TV remote... Xbox 360 is quite cool, it has a nice controller, but i'm gonna stick with sony and use Lukeman's PS3 when he buys it XD
I've got a PS2 and PSP, and I don't really not like x-box, its just the chunky controllers and the size of it that turn me away!
360 does look cool though... just not as cool as PS3!:D

oh yeah.... Is it just me, or are Nintendo plummeting through the market, trying to release so many consoles in around 2 years?
First the GBA SP, then DS, now GBmicro, and end of 2006 the Revolution commeth... Surely this is a sign of falling profits, releasing so many different (yet the same, in the case of GBAsp and micro and possibly even the DS with its crappy graphics!) consoles in such a short period of time (for the gaming industry)?
Nintendo have either begun to feel their age, or they've got one heck of a big trick up their sleeve(s)!

And the DS is okay, though i'd prefer the PSP and the graphics are like TERRIBLY bad, just PSP has better, xD. Only good thing about it is Nintendogs, that looks cool lol.

@SPROG, if they were failing they wouldnt be releasing new consoles seeing as it WOULDNT FIT INTO THEIR GODDAMN BUDGET

2nd, PS3 may have better graphics but so what if the games are better visually, if you want something visually attractive go watch a movie, what we need is good story, good battle systems, great character development etc...somehow I think PS3 will lack in this, as usual

3rd Xbox are having quite a few RPG's released soon or whatever xD, I read a games artivle microsoft teamed up with some japanese people who have like done rpgs etc and I think one or some were from Square, helped make final fantasy.

I think the PS3 WILL have great games with stories, good systems etc.

FFXIII which, with luck, will be as revolutionary as FFVII. FFVII was the first on the Playstation, maybe FFXIII can be as memorable as the first FF on a next-gen. Rememebr PS3 also has games such as MGS4, which isn't exactly lacking in story.

And I'm HOPING, that developers won't be stingy on story etc just cuz they have new graphics. The next-gens are a clean slate, if you will, to start over after some of the dissapointments on the PS2. (FFX/X-2!!!)

360 is absymal. Honestly, it's appalling. For a start, there's a contrived shortage to provoke public interest - they KNEW how many units they'd need to produce and ship in the first run, and they deliberately shipped about half of that. This leads to an awful lot of publicity, free publicity.
Not to mention, the system itself was rushed in a desparate attempt to get it out for Christmas, and now because of the rushed production, the system is full of bugs and doesn't even use the latest tech.
Revolution for me.

But that doesn't mean it's going to be entirely ghey - it'd still be a nice system. I thought you were going to say "PS3 for me." at the end after reading it and about to get to that last sentence, xP. Only thing I like about the Revolution is teh controller, and maybe the simplicity of the console design.

Daniel, I do know that XIII is coming out on the X-BOX 360 as well, but as it is being released on the PS3 it helps my point that the PS3 will have games with good stories.

I agree the 360m is poor, at least in comparison to the PS3, and Revolution. ALthough I'm a PS3 fanatic, I have great respect for Nintendo and their consoles. They were revolutionary (no pun intended! :D) and the top guys (well...them and SEGA) until Sony came along with the Playstation, and the NES and SNES gave birth to my 2 Favourite game series of all time: Final Fantasy and Metal Gear.

Microsoft are concentrating on beating Sony...by rushing the system, lowering the price, getting it out early etc. What they SHOULD be concentrating on is getting the very best out of their console they can. That means, SHipping enough consoles on time, keeping it back a year for testing and further development. The fact they have rushed it shows they care more about profit than creating a good product, and I certainly hope it backfires.

The thing is, this deliberate shortage to advertise their product... is advertising it to the people who already would have bought a 360. Turning people away at the door is great publicity... but it's preaching to the choir, because people who are walking into that store looking for an xbox 360 are doing so, because they WANT an xbox 360, and were fully prepared to queue 6 hours to get one.

I am going with the Playstation 3, I am just into Sony more than any of the company's. I don't feel like Nintendo progressed any, it basically reminds me of a PS2 if anything. I would then go with a 360 because of love some of Microsoft's games, but still the PS3 is for me :P.

And yeah that's true, people who are going to by the 360 people are people who already want it and not those who are just wondering around looking for a good console (don't think there are alot of them anyway? xP).... something like that. And well maybe by the time it's out in Australia (March >.>) they'll have fixed the "bugs" which the 360 has, or maybe not. And wouldn't you buy something if you wanted it anyway? Unless of course it's a gift, but that's different, xP.
Now as for the backfiring thing, I couldn't care less if Microsoft loses money or gains money whatever, just as long as I get a decent system and get to play them games which I wants >.> And well so far (I know a FEW people who have got the 360 already) there's nothing wrong with it, but maybe it's because they don't notice things... LIKE ME =D

After playing the 360, I dont hate it as much as I did, although PS3 is still better... The 360 controller is basically a PS2-shaped Gamecube controller! (If that makes anysense... PS2 shape, GC button layout)
I enjoyed playing the Xbox 360, but when i suddenly realised it was fun, i dropped the controller and walked quickly out of game... I like it, its just not as good as PS3... and revolution SUCKS bigtime, they're way behind from the screens i've seen... Nintendo are really dieing slowly

hahaha having shortages is the only way they could possibly sell out. To make things worse there have been a lot of complaints about the consoles crashing lots etc etc.

I think they went wrong when they thought they would be clever and rush it out for christmas instead of just holding it back until they had lots produced and had ironed out all the problems. But alas this is microsoft the money grabbing whores of the world :D

I find it highly amusing the amount of faults it has, I mean it just serves Microsoft right for being greedy jackasses!

The console suffers problems ranging from power supplies overheating to the disks being scratched by the console itself.

Truely amazing for a next generation console, aint it? :P

The problem about the new Xbox 360 is that it uses alot of power, not like ALOT, but still a fair bit, I mean the power-thing needs two fans and it uses more power than the original Xbox. And as for overheating, that's the user's fault. I'm pretty sure for ANY console that if you place it up against a wall then of course it will overheat, since that's where the heat generates.

Ummm.... okay I don't see how the Xbox 360 has ugly graphics, they're better than the original which had some pretty good graphics - maybe you just played games which didn't have that great graphics lol. I mean sure the PS3 has overall a better system (as in specs.), but that doesn't mean teh 360 still isn't good =/
Also how do you know it's NOT better than the PS3 (unlikely, BUT.... xD)? I mean you haven't tried it out yet, I mean the controller could be weird and uncomfortable for starters =/ And also the Xbox 360 controller is well similar the old one, just smaller and different colour, right?

If your not going to buy it, why bother with bitching about it? it isn't affecting you, thus doesnt matter.

You can't possibly, know the PS3 will be better, sure it might have better graphics, doesn't mean the games going to be the slightlest bit interesting.

and as for the x-box having problems, we know what microsoft is like, it doesn't beta-test it uses us, just like it does with it's PC/software etc.

XBOX 360 wasn't rushed, it was just released earlier, because being the fiirst to release means more money for them. The queue to be n XBOX 360 was terrible, itwent all around the shop, outside the shop and all the way down through the shopping centre, im just glad I got FFXI when I did >_>

Ok Ok! I admit it, I have come to like the 360... I'm ashamed! ;( I wouldn't mind having one, its just the price and the fact i've already bought a PSP (In the US) this year, so I don't want to buy another console for at least 1-2 years... So yes, the 360 is much better than I expected, its actually very enjoyable with a great controller and graphical power... So I think it's definately a fight between Sony and MicroSoft now.

But I still think Nintendo Are dropping out of the market at an ever-increasing pace, just like Sega did... The Controller looks like a TV remote, so I don't really like it, it seems quite awkward to play games with it... But perhaps i'm wrong... Nintendo should release some trailers of games so we can see how "good" its new console is...

^ You shouldn't be ashamed, be proud - fight the power! xD. As for the Revolution, it has released trailers of people "using" the new controllers - seems rather interesting. And well maybe they have yet to really have trailers for games so far or something like that? If they showed you some trailers of games coming up on the Revolution, how would that show how "good" the console is anyway?

Yeah what Kaede said, xP. Even though it doesn't affect them, still "fun" to have a nice "fight" over the "better" console I guess lol. And well I think some of the games on the PS3 will be interesting, obviously one being FFXIII, wether it's good or not people will still buy it and try it out - i'm sure SOME people will like it even if it turns out to be the crappest FF of them all (which I doubt since it's their last one - they might try to make it their best or something). And damn, that's a really LONG ASS line there Kaede, but how big the shopping centre? xP. And I take it's finally been released in Europe & Japan now?

XBOX 360 is good. No question! I've seen in-game footage just I have for the PS3. But its not enough. All it seems to be boasting is improved graphics, and even thats not up to PS3 standard. Sticking with DVD-Rom was naother mistake, as the material they can fit on will be more limited. To me, the XBOX 360 is the console thats ALMOST there. The graphix are great, but not awesome. The games will be big, but not quite big enough. If you look at the games, it doesn't really improve fromt he XBOX THAT MUCH. Now check out the PS3. Lets look at just one small element fromt he MGS series that will be improved majorly on the new console. In MGS3 you culd customize weapons. ie. Supressor on or off. In MGS4, you will be able to customize EACH weapon with over a hundred different combinations each. Everything is scaled up hugely.

And DK, the reason everyone is bitching about there console being better is becasue we're all extremely arrogant who believe our own opinion is correct and we want everyone to agree with us! Think about it, theres not very much else that goes on in forums such as these!!

Oh, for the record, I feel Nintendo have been lagging behind ever seince they made the N64 a cartridge system. That lost them Final Fantasy etc and they've been struggling since.

Lukeman.. what is your obsession with comparing every 360 game with MGS4... Remember they're only the cutscenes, in-game will be a little lower quality (NOT MUCH THO!)... I think we should wait for the console to be released before going "PS3 is better"... Perhaps it will be, or perhaps Sony might just make the biggest mistake in their life and release it with oads of bugs still in it!

My friends, sprog is a changed man every since he touched that Xbox 360 down at his local game store xD. (I dunno if it was your local game store, i'm just usin' it for this example xP) See what great things the Xbox 360 can do to you? =P And yeah I must agree with what luke said about us bitchin' at each other, most of it anyway, xP. It would be kinda boring not argueing over which is the better console lol.
You CAN fit ALOT of room on a DVD so I doubt stickin' with the DVD and not goin' the "new" Blu-Ray discs is TOO much of a problem, unless it's got SHATLOAD of crap then well might be a problem there, xP. And is the PS3 the console that IS there? lol. Well if the 360 had a better graphics system than the PS3, not needin' to use as much power and a few other things - it'd be well pretty much perfect. However, you must realise graphics also depend on if the game even HAS good graphics itself =P lol.
And with the MGS series thing, yes they're probably really good games which is quite popular and many people enjoy, heck maybe even myself if I tried it (but I don't own a PS2 and I gave away my old PS - not that I wanted to but meh....), but you make it sound like it's the greatest game in the world, xP. But it isn't, the greatest game in the WORLD is PONG. The End. Full Stop. Period. xD.
Yeah all i'm sayin is that i'm sure MGS4 will turn out to be a GREAT game, but you making it sound like that's the ONLY good game on the PS3 (which clearly isn't going to be the case). The Xbox 360 also has several good games which I personally wanna get and alot of the games I play are all-platform games so yeah, xP. Imagine if there was only ONE console, like only ONE company (or maybe different companies combined) that made only one console - no more fighting =D

Yeah, It was at my local GAME.... And Pong Rules! Especially on the old Atari 2600 with the paddle controllers... Ahh... The old Atariwill always be the greatest home console, due to the fact it was the first!

I'm betting on PS3 to come out tops, with 360 second (possibly joint first), and then Revolution lagging along behind

Sprog, maybe you should actually READ my post! I was on about how you will be able to customize each weapon in over one hundred different ways, how does that have anything to do with cut-scene and in game graphics?!?

And I know MGS4 isn't the ONLY great game there will be, and I know there will be lots of good XB360 games too, it just so happened that I knew some good info to do with MGS4 that helped me make my Blu-Ray point, and the fact it will be handy dandy to have that extra capacity!

Nintendo is just out there, while Microsoft and Sony bash each others head trying to prove which is better. I could care less, as long as they don't cancel out any of the systems. That's why console fanboys or fangirls get annoying, because they whine and cry about their system. I just plan to get all of them, not at the same time, but one by one. I'm very well sure that they are other like me who plan to do that same thing.

When the XBOX came out, some Gamecube fantic said that the XBOX was a demonic conspiracy and produced an image that the XBOX was held by a demon silhouette and Luigi there being tormented. Honestly, that's stupid. People do go overboard these days.

About the greediness of every company, it's not exactly about greediness, it's about business. Every company wants to have the best thing, they want money and they use that money to achieve the best. The better they sell, the longer they will last and stuff.

I'ma probably end up gettin' the Xbox 360 first, though, I really want the PS3...I'm not sure about the Revolution...

PS3 all the way for me. Why? Cause I love the games that are on it. Namely Metal Gear Solid, Devil may Cry, Shadow hearts, onimusha, Tekken, Gran Tourismo, God of War...

All of these awesome series will get sequels and stuff on the PS3, and hence, That's what I'll be getting. I don't care about Halo at all, But Dead or Alive 4 does look interesting, not to mention Elders Scroll IV: Oblivion.
Well all I can say is Tekken sucks =P And is there going to be a God of War 2? And never played Shadow Hearts nor Onimusha - though I know MGS and DMC are really good games. Also from what i've heard GT4 is a good racing game =/ Oh well.... xP.
Big Boss: Yeah, like if I was rich enough i'd get them all even if there was like only one game I wanted say on something like the Revolution, xP.

Yeah if I could I would get a computer over an Xbox 360 anyday, mainly because my current laptop isn't too great. I mean I can barely fit all the games that I wanna play on it and then of course it lags alot when I *used* to play WoW because I don't have much RAM and then the graphics also kind of suck because I got a crappy graphics card. Oh and it's kind of slow too, xP.

Microsoft have released the 360 waaaay too early. It's like running onto the battlefield before the war's started. Personally, I'm a ninty fan, so I'll be getting the Revolution, but my respect for Sony and the Playstation is high, and I see it as a very good games console. I often steal my brother's PS2 for a go on Final Fantasy X, or GTA, amongst other games, and he doesn't see it for weeks.

I've only played the 360, and to be honest, I wasn't impressed. Kameo is poor. The graphics seem only slightly better than the first Xbox, and it doesn't really have any new, original ideas. That's one of the appealing features of the Revolution - this controller is original, and looks to be a lot of fun. Anyone who says that it sucks is an originalityphobe.

Perhaps one day the PS3 and Revolution will co-exist in peace, as the PS2 and Gamecube do within our group of friends (mostly), while Microsoft is crushed under it's own weight. Also, keep in mind that Nintendo also has the DS, and Sony has the PSP for backup. Microsoft has neither.

nintendo was 20 years ago the first to introduce the controller with the famicon and seting the standard for all consoles, and now, they're making a unique new one, imagine, holding the mastersword in zelda-games actually in your hand, now you swing the sword, no more hold-button (charge) -> release-button -> spin-attack, no now it's hold-button (charge) ->swing with the remote (and miss XD) -> swing again (hit :D) -> release button. or concider metroid, you now have the blaster in your hand... or (i'll stop here with this point.)

2. NES and SNES games...
all of those snes and nes classics, like secret of mana, lufia, do i need to say more?

Even though Microsoft it and well since when did any of you guys give a sh*tload about graphics xD. I mean like I said much earlier before, when the Xbox came out and it had alot better specs. than the PS2, most of ye were going on about how who cares if the specs. are better. NOW I hear the main reason people are using about the PS3 being better is it's specs. =/ Yeah I like the games coming out on the 360, most of ye are just RPG people xD. But still..... PC will always own =D Despite it's viruses, errors and millions of other annoying things. There will always be an emulator for SOME console xD. Well you know, eventually.

Hmm...I'm not sure about the whole "controller swinging" thing; I've played arcade games that involve swinging a sword around, like the samurai version of Time Crisis or House of the Dead. To be honest, the sword was pretty unresponsive, blocks often didn't work and there was a delay between what you did and whta the sword did. I hope for Nintendos sake they havn't fallen into a similar trap, it would be nice to see a game like that that FELT right.

I have nothing against the revolution at all. I've never really been a fan of the Xbox, I think the controller really put me off first time I played it and have looked down on it ever since! Have alot of respect for nintendo though, they gave birth to Final Fantasy! If only they'd made the N64 a CD console, they'd probably still be the dominant force now!

Edit: Oh and Auron? My personal opinion is that the public opinion swings with who is leading in terms of evolution of gaming. Example: Everyone used to love Nintendo. When the NES and SNES came out, they were legends! The most repected and profitable company in gamind. Then Sony came along and took it to the next level with a CD Console. As they led the evolution in gaming, they became the big guns. I think perhaps the reason don't like Microsoft (as much in general) is that they've started challenging the big guns without making any REAL advances. If the X-Box hhad come in with Blu-Ray stuff, the PS2 would have been dead! But instead of trying to improve on what was already in use, they pretty much took a format that already existed.

The 360 is the same deal. It still uses DVDs, while Sony have tried to evolve once again by introducing Blu-Ray and all the other impressive Specs. Microsofts X-box project feels much more of a moneymaking scheme, while to me it feels like Sony are generally trying to make gaming as great as possible.

Well firstly there is nothing WRONG with the current Xbox controller, but i'll admit the one they first released was pretty gay, i've tried something similar to it and damn is it annoying to control, but when they remade it then it was perfectly fine. And now when I play the PS2 with their controller, it feels so slim and everything - not in a good way either =/
And yeah with the Revolution controller i'm wondering as how to it'll work it out - the way they've described it may sound pretty cool but what if we actually try it and it's all kind of sloppy and stuff? And yeah Microsoft was pretty stupid to continue using Dvd's instead of this (which I find stupid) new techology - some Blu-Ray crap which probably would be a better idea since it's new and stuff and whatever xD.
And to be honest, i'm pretty sure ALL of the gaming companies are MAINLY to make money for themselves and get rich. Making great consoles so people can enjoy playing great games is just a bonus =/ Just Microsoft are probably worse lol. And yeah in general they are ghey. And even worse the reason why Halo 2 isn't as good as it was meant to be is because of Microsoft give them a strict deadline. It's partially Bungie's fault because they spent 7 months making a demo and everything for E3 2003 and they wasted all those 7 months not actually producing the game. So they missing out on ALOT of the stuff that was meant to be in the game. Like there were meant to be these Convenant Engineers and several types of Warthogs for different terrains.
