What's your favourite Final Fantasy and why?
Mine has to be Final Fantasy VII, the characters were great, the materia system was the best one yet, and the areas and length of the game added to it. FF9 comes in close second for it's music. XD
Mine is and will always be FFVIII. It was my first FF and to me it still has the best feel to me. :D Plus I love the whole Garden and SeeD idea!

Final Fantasy VIII.
It was the shojo of the RPG world.
For me it's either FFVII or FFX... I just like both of them

Final Fantasy VII of course :D
It was my first FF and I still like it. I like the characters, materia system and the story. Need to finish the game again sometime.
Of Course Final Fantasy VII Great story, Wonderful characters, and wonderful battle system. I also like X alot too. It also had a great story line and good characters.

FF9, had a MUCH easier move learning style than ff 8 and prettyy good graphics and ALEXANDER TOTALY ROCKED IN IT! And it had Madeen who was also cool. It was nice and long and it kept my interest. But I love 7 too because it's so freakin epic and the materia system was pretty nice. I like the story of ff8, and the junctioning system allowed for more controled stats but the magic was totaly useless in ff8 because even when you found good magic that would heal a lot or so a lot of damage you didn't wanna use it because you wanted to junction it. GFs also were good and bad because in some boss battles you couldn't even use them, but then again some could do more than the 999 limit and there were a lot of cool ones.
And not to mention they reduced the EXP you got for a battle.

yeah, ff8 was a great tory but shitty gameplay. DId you know in one counrties version Squall and Laguna fall in love? I kid you not *searches for link*I'll get back to you with the specifics.

Are you serious? I can't wait to read that! Anyway, my favorite FF would have to be FFVII! Woot! Just because of the storyline, it's so unbelivably intricate! There are no stupid loopholes! Every part of it is "beautifully woven" into itself! I can't even describe the amazing-ness-ness!

it happens to be my favourite because every year I'll play it, beat it, and play it from the begining again and it's still fun.
FF8 is my favorite frist one I played and I loved how the gardens gave it that highshcool/college feel and the characters where great

I liked FFVIII or FFIX the best. VIII was good because well, it was my first FF. I loved the storyline, and the whole romance theme in it. I thought it was crazy that Squall would actually do that for one girl.
FFIX is my favorite though. It had the whole "retro" Final Fantasy feel to it. The towns were huge! The airship/s were cool, I liked the Invincible the best. The characters were really good too, I liked Steiner the best because he had the Knightly duty with him. The main bad guy wasn't like some madman/woman like in VII and VIII, but instead a scared Genome, who didn't want to die so he tried to kill everyone with him. I would like to see that one remade it any, or if they do VII they should do VIII and IX.

you know..for me it all comes down to either FFVII and FFX.
FFvii was a tremendously great game, and if the remake comes out for the ps3 (if there is one) i will be sure to play it even tho i would already know the story line.
But for me, FFX takes the cake. i loved its Enviorments and the interaction between all the characters. Its amazing, has a good story line, and barely tops FFvii

I think ff 7 and 9 are both great but ff 7 gets the cutting edge for me because of the materia system.

I like FFVIII and FFX they both have good graphics, story, and music.

My favorite Final Fantasy will have to be FFVII because the story is very long (including whole Compilation) and I really like long stories.
FF7. Always and always.
Because FF7 have interesting secrets, side quests, and even mini-games. The storyline was, however, the best of all.

V VI and IX all come up high.
i like V as the job system allows many different ways of playing and challenges to be set up(all BLM party for example)
VI had an excelent story totaly free character usage(not main char just sometimes have to use certain in certain areas), good charactors, good story, and best of all i LOVE the way in the final world you have to collect your chars(or dont on your choice), and the funal dungeoin you have 3 partys so you use all your chars(minus 2 of got gogo and umaru).
IX i guess graphycs and character development each has specific strengths and weaknesses meaning all the chars play differently. also i liked the balence of sub-quests and stuff in that game.
even though its not that clear in my mind i guess from the sheer number of good points VI has to win for me,
FFVII. It was the first one I played, and I still love it.
My is Finalfantasy X beause it had a great story to it.

My favourite one has to be FF8. I just really like the game, even though it has the problems it does.
